Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Indian benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended the previous trade session in the green. Nifty 50 closed at 23,707.90, while Sensex ended at 78,199.11.

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Nifty 50 ended the previous trade session 2,569.45 points away from its record high of 26,277.35.

Overnight, Wall Street indices declined. Asian equities were trading lower too in early trade today.

Indian markets today is likely to react to the first advanced GDP estimates for FY25, which were pegged at 6.4%, in-line with expectations.

All eyes are also on the FOMC minutes that will be released later today, the non-farm payrolls data which will be out on Friday as well as some big bang earnings globally.

On another note, TCS will kickstart the third quarter earnings season in India, on Thursday, January 9.

Also, the NSE is set to introduce F&O contracts for Gland Pharma, Castrol India, NBCC, Solar Industries, Phoenix Mills and Torrent Power with effect from January 31, 2025.

M&M, Tata Steel, RVNL, Sobha Realty, Berger Paints, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Exicom Tele Systems, Tata Technologies, CESC, Jindal Worldwide are among the stocks in focus today.
