Delhi Assembly Election 2025: AAP releases campaign song ‘Phir Layenge Kejriwal’

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday, January 7, released its campaign song, ‘Phir Layenge Kejriwal’, for the 2025 Assembly election in the national capital. As per the official announcement by the Election Commission, voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will take place in a single phase on February 5, while the counting of votes will take place on February 8.

The around three-and-a-half minute campaign song features Kejriwal as the son of Delhi and highlights his party’s development work in the health and education sectors.

Further, it highlights the key welfare schemes like free electricity and water supply for the residents of Delhi.

Taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at an event in Delhi, Kejriwal asked the crowd, “That one political party of our country which is engaged in abusive languages. What is the name of the political party?:”

He later added, “I know they will like the song. Their leaders can lock their rooms and play the song”.

“Our slogan was ‘phir laayenge Kejriwal’ and this song also conveys the same. This song will reach every house and people will make Arvind Kejriwal win with a huge majority,” AAP MP Sanjay Singh told ANI.

Delhi Minister and AAP leader Gopal Rai said, “Today, the party has launched its campaign song – and with that theme, our campaign will get more pace and we will form the government again… We will provide free electricity, water, better schools… to the people of Delhi…”

The AAP secured a historic win during the 2015 Assembly election in Delhi, winning 67 of the 70 seats, while the remaining three went to the BJP.

In the 2020 Assembly polls, the Kejriwal-led party, in a near-repeat of its 2015 performance, won 62 seats, while the saffron party improved its tally from three to eight. The Congress failed to open its account on both occasions.

In the 2025 Assembly election, the AAP is eying another victory in a triangular contest against the BJP and Congress.
