Rita Daniela remains a strong woman despite the struggles she faced in 2024.
In an interview with GMA News Online after the script reading of the “Widows’ War” finale, the singer and actress said her two-year-old son, Uno, is the main reason she keeps her head up.
Rita previously said she was trying to be OK, especially for her child.
“Kung sabihin nating nangyari pa rin sa ‘kin ‘yung karumal-dumal na pagkakataon na nangyari sa ‘kin, and wala akong Uno sa buhay ko, I really don’t think—hindi ko talaga alam saan ako pupunta ngayon,” she told GMA News Online.
Rita also said that her work was a big help in her healing.
“Honestly, after what happened to me, it really helped na nagtuloy-tuloy lang ‘yung work. Most especially with my colleagues on ‘All-Out Sundays,’ my ‘Widows’ War’ family, they’re very so understanding with me,” she said.
“Parang finill-up din nila ‘yung ako—I mean, ‘yung emotions ko and feelings ko [with the] happiness na nanggagaling sa friendship, and I’m very grateful. So isang malaking bagay ‘yun sa ‘kin with how I cope, how I take care of myself,” she said.
Above all, the artist credits her faith and relationship with God as her main motivator.
Turning emotional, Rita said, “Hindi ko alam kung sino ako ngayon or paano ako mabubuhay kung wala akong Jesus or God sa buhay ko.”
“Siya lang talaga. Siya lang ang nag-fu-fuel, Siya lang nagbibigay ng this joy that I have,” the artist said.
“Lahat ng tao, puwedeng-puwede nila ‘kong iwanan. Pero si God, diyan lang Siya. Naka-cling lang Siya sa ‘kin at sa amin ni Uno,” she added. “And I’m just so happy na nandito ako ngayon.”
In October 2024, Rita filed an act of lasciviousness complaint against Archie Alemania. In her complaint-affidavit, she alleged that the actor kissed and touched her without consent and repeatedly made inappropriate remarks against her.
Archie filed a counter-affidavit in December, in which he denied the allegations. In her response, Rita’s camp said that some parts of his counter-affidavit affirm the complaint she filed against him.
