Delhi Election 2025 Dates Live: Ashish Sood, BJP’s candidate from Janakpuri, thanked the party’s central leadership for selecting him to tackle the “AAPda” in Janakpuri. The Election Commission will announce the schedule for polls to the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Tuesday (January 7). The Commission has convened a press conference at 2 pm on Tuesday to announce the election schedule. The term of the 70-member Assembly ends on February 23, and elections have to be held before that to constitute a new House.

At least 53 people were killed and 62 others were injured in a strong earthquake that struck the Tibet region near the Nepal border, officials from China told media.

An earthquake of 7.1 magnitude hit Xizang in the Tibet Autonomous Region at 6.35 am on Tuesday (January 7) the National Center for Seismology stated in a post on social media platform X.
