According to the complaint filed by the deceased’s family, the stampede was allegedly exacerbated by a lathi charge by police officials who were escorting Allu Arjun at the event. The complainant accused the authorities of failing to ensure adequate arrangements for crowd control.

“He has further alleged that lathi charge resorted to by police officials and lack of necessary arrangements, when film star Allu Arjun entered the theatre, resulted in the death of the woman and injuries to her children,” the complaint stated.
