At least two-thirds of India’s population aged between 15 and 49 years eat meat on a daily basis, weekly or occasionally, according to data from the National Health and Family Survey (NFHS-5). There’s been a steady rise in the number of people who eat non-vegetarian food since the NHFS-4 data was released earlier.
