His remarks have reignited debate about national security, leadership, and economic strategy under the current administration.
Trump began by describing the United States as “a disaster” and “a laughing stock all over the world,” pointing to what he called “open borders” and “ineffective leadership” as the root causes.
He accused the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Democratic prosecutors of prioritising political attacks on him over safeguarding the country from internal and external threats.
“The DOJ, FBI, and Democrat state and local prosecutors have not done their job,” Trump tweeted. “They are incompetent and corrupt, having spent all of their waking hours unlawfully attacking their political opponent, ME, rather than focusing on protecting Americans.”
Our Country is a disaster, a laughing stock all over the World! This is what happens when you have OPEN BORDERS, with weak, ineffective, and virtually nonexistent leadership. The DOJ, FBI, and Democrat state and local prosecutors have not done their job. They are incompetent and…

Trump also appealed to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to intervene, warning of a “violent erosion of safety, national security, and democracy” across the nation. He called for “strength and powerful leadership” to address the situation, ending his statement with a rallying cry: “See you on January 20th. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
Criticism of Biden’s border policy
Trump turned his attention to President Joe Biden’s border policy, alleging that the administration’s approach has exacerbated violent crime and allowed radical elements to infiltrate the country.
“With the Biden ‘Open Borders Policy,’ I said many times during rallies that Radical Islamic Terrorism, and other forms of violent crime, would become so bad in America that it would be hard to imagine. That time has come,” he wrote.
He further labelled Biden “the worst president in the history of America” and accused him and his administration of “election interference,” claiming their actions have left lasting damage on the country.
Economic vision: Tariffs over income tax
In another tweet, Trump advocated for a return to tariffs as the primary revenue source for the U.S. government, arguing that tariffs had previously created vast wealth for the country.
“The tariffs, and tariffs alone, created this vast wealth for our country. Then we switched over to income tax,” he stated.
As Trump continues to criticise the Biden administration’s policies and leadership, his remarks are likely to fuel ongoing debates about national security, economic strategy, and the role of federal agencies in the country’s governance.
