Through the Blinkit app, customers will be able to book a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance, equipped with essential life-saving equipment, including oxygen cylinders, AED (Automated External Defibrillator), stretchers, monitors, suction machines, and emergency medicines.

Additionally, each ambulance will have a paramedic, assistant, and trained driver to ensure top-quality service during critical moments.

“Providing quick and reliable ambulance services is an important challenge in our cities. This is just the first step. We aim to carefully scale this service and make it available in all major cities over the next two years,” said Albinder Dhindsa, Founder & CEO of Blinkit.

The service will be available at affordable prices, with Blinkit’s focus not on profit but on long-term solutions to a critical issue, Dhindsa added.

Customers can expect to see the ambulance booking feature in their areas as the service expands. “Let’s do our bit and make way for an ambulance always. You never know when you may save a lif,” he tweeted.
