Waaree Energies bags solar modules order for supply of 150 MWp
Waaree Energies on Thursday, January 2, said it has bagged an order for solar modules for  150 MWp (megawatt peak) supply.

The company said it has received the order from a renowned customer engaged in the business of owning, developing and operating renewable power projects in India.

The supply of modules is scheduled to commence in the 2025-26 financial year.

Last month, Waaree Energies said its wholly-owned subsidiary Waaree Solar Americas Inc had started the trial production fo solar modules at its manufacturing facility in the US. The first phase was of 1.6 GW solar module manufacturing capacity, which the company intends to scale to 3 GW.

In December, the company also bagged two projects

aggregating 398 MW for the supply of solar modules.

Of these, one project is of 249 MW and the other is of 149 MW. The orders are from a renowned client engaged in the business of owning, developing and operating renewable power projects in India, the company said in a stock exchange filing.

The supply of the solar modules is scheduled to commence in FY26.

Another wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, Waaree Forever Energies, received a letter of award to develop at 170 MW solar power plant in Madhya Pradesh from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd, last month.

The plant will be integrated into the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS), enabling the generation and transmission of clean energy. The renewable energy produced will be supplied to Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Ltd and Indian Railways.

Waaree Energies’ shares were trading 0.29% lower at ₹2,853.8 apiece at 10.30 am on Thursday, December 2. The stock has gained 22.03% in the past year.
