Exit Polls 2024: When and where to watch Maharashtra, Jharkhand Assembly election predictions
Voting for the 2024 Assembly elections in Maharashtra and the second phase of Jharkhand is underway. In Maharashtra, polling began at 7 am on Wednesday across all the 288 Assembly constituencies and is expected to conclude by 6 pm. A total of 4,136 candidates — 3,771 males, 363 females and two others — are in the fray, as per the official data from the Election Commission. The state has more than 9.7 crore eligible voters this time.

In the second phase of Jharkhand Assembly election 2024, polling is underway in 38 constituencies. This comes after the successful completion of the first phase, covering 43 seats on November 13, where a total voter turnout of 66.65% was registered. While there were 683 candidates in the maiden phase, the second one had 528 candidates trying their luck for a seat in the state Assembly.

Exit Polls

After successful completion of the voting process in both the states — Maharashtra and Jharkhand — the exit polls by various agencies and media organisations will be released Wednesday evening. The exit polls will go live after 6:30 pm, in line with the guidelines issued by the poll body.

Conducted by multiple organisations, the exit polls help understand the group reality and the behaviour of voters, predicting the possible outcome of the Assembly polls ahead of the official results.

As part of these surveys, the voters are asked about their preferred choices when they come out of polling booths after exercising their franchise. The exit polls are not actual results and do not always turn out to be accurate.
