“…this is to inform that RailTel Corporation of India Ltd (“the Company”) has received the work order from Bharat Coking Coal Limited for Works amounting to Rs. 78,43,30,164 (Including Tax),” RailTel Corporation of India said in a regulatory filing.
The order, dated December 31, 2024, involves implementing an integrated IT-based security infrastructure alongside various related services.

This project involves the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a 132/55 KV traction substation, sectioning posts and sub-sectioning posts in the Bhusaval-Khandwa section. The contract is aimed at upgrading the 2×25 KV traction system, employing Scott-connected transformers to support a loading target of 3,000 MT.
In its September quarter, the company reported a 40% increase in revenue from operations at ₹843.49 crore compared to ₹599.15 crore in the year-ago period. Its profit after tax increased by more than 6% to ₹72.64 crore compared to ₹68.15 crore in the previous year.
For the six-month period ended September 30, 2024 (H1FY25), RailTel Corporation’s revenue from operations increased more than 31% to ₹1,401.6 crore compared to ₹1,066.76 crore in the previous year. The company’s profit-after-tax for the same period increased more than 13% to ₹121.31 crore compared to ₹106.54 crore in the first half of the previous fiscal.

Shares of RailTel Corporation of India Ltd ended at ₹404.45, up by ₹0.35, or 0.087%, on the BSE.
