“Women are seeking clothing that seamlessly transitions between their professional and personal lives,” says Rupanshi Aggarwal, CEO & Co-Founder of QUA.
Elevated basics, clean lines, and seasonless fashion are on the rise. “Our collections focus on creating timeless, high-quality pieces that can be worn year-round, regardless of trends. It’s about building a wardrobe with purpose, reflecting the strength and individuality of the modern heroine,” she added.
In bridal fashion, modernity meet romance. “This season, bridal fashion was embracing a blend of modernity and romance. We’re seeing clean lines and minimalist silhouettes dominating the runways,” said Abhinav Mishra.
Popular choices include two-piece sets, jumpsuits, and A-line dresses. Brides are gravitating towards earthy hues like terracotta and sage green, with luxurious fabrics such as silk and lightweight tulle.
“The trend leans towards styles that enhance natural beauty, focusing on well-structured yet simple designs that allow the wearer’s personality to shine,” he noted.
Post-pandemic weddings have shifted priorities towards comfort, personal expression, and customisation. “Couples are prioritising comfort and personal style over rigid traditions,” says Mishra.
Traditional craftsmanship, like zardozi and mirror work, is also making a comeback. “Intricate embroidery and handcrafted details are becoming focal points, celebrating heritage while ensuring the outfits remain fresh and relevant,” he explained.
Groom fashion is evolving beyond the black tuxedo. “Grooms are exploring a variety of styles that reflect their personality,” Mishra highlighted, noting trends like lighter fabrics, bold colours such as deep greens, and patterned suits.
“Accessories are taking on a more significant role, with unique shoes, pocket squares, and statement watches becoming essential elements of the groom’s look,” he added.
Aisha Rao observes brides embracing maximalism with versatility. “There’s a love for experimental designs and embroidery that bring a modern edge to traditional silhouettes. In 2024, brides are also gravitating toward versatile pieces that can be re-styled for different occasions, adding longevity to their bridal wardrobe,” she shared.
