Voting is being held at 14,218 booths across 12 districts in the state till 5 pm. However, voting at 31 booths will end at 4pm, but the people standing in line at the time will be able to cast their votes, officials said.
The ruling JMM-led India bloc is looking at retaining power in the state with its welfare schemes, while the BJP-led NDA is looking at reclaiming it.
As many as 1.23 crore voters are eligible to vote on Wednesday, November 20. Of these, 60.79 lakh are women and 147 are third-gender electors.
Phase 1 of the Jharkhand Assembly elections, which was held on November 13 across 43 constituencies, witnessed a 66.51% voter turnout across 43 constituencies.
Vote counting is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2024.

Soren told news agency ANI that he wants to continue with his tradition of casting his vote early.. whoever is elected as the MLA, he would like them to carry on with the tradition.
