The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has announced today (December 27) that it has signed a pact with the audio and wearables brand boAt, with the goal of helping startups in the D2C (direct-to-consumer) and manufacturing domains.
A statement made by DPIIT declared that the objective of this collaboration is to increase innovation and provide support suited to the needs of startup businesses that are recognised by DPIIT. This includes startups in both manufacturing and D2C sectors.
The MoU includes plans to create programmes designed to provide mentorship and guidance to startups, as well as innovators and entrepreneurs in these industries. Additionally, it includes the provision of resources and support for the attainment of objectives such as prototype development. It also harbours plans for increasing networking and connections, along with global expansion.
DPIIT Joint Secretary Sanjiv Singh said, “With industry tycoons like boAt, we aim to foster innovation, enhance product development and support the establishment of globally competitive brands.”
Aman Gupta, Co-Founder of boAt, said with this pact, the company aims to support and enable entrepreneurs and Indian companies, thereby empowering them to achieve their goals.
