Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is all set to re-release in theatres on January 3, 2025, bringing back the nostalgia and magic of this beloved Bollywood film. Taking to Instagram, Dharma Productions shared a poster of the film, announcing the re-release next month. “We are all screaming because #YehJawaaniHaiDeewani is re-releasing on 3rd January! Save the date!” read the caption of the post. The text on the poster read, “The gang is back.”
In the other post on Instagram, Dharma Productions shared a reel video and wrote, “Mithai ka dabba khul gaya hai, get in line guys! #YehJawaaniHaiDeewani”
PVR INOX will re-release Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani across 140 cinemas in 46 cities, giving fans a wide range of options to watch it on the big screen. This announcement comes following the Dharma Productions’ Kal Ho Naa Ho‘s successful re-release.
As soon as the post was shared, it garnered several likes and comments from users, with many dropping heart emojis to express their excitement. A user wrote, “Simple hai kuch logon ke saath waqt bitaane se sab theek hojaata hai,” while another added, “YJHD ke mithai ke “dabbe” kha sakte hai hum. Sirf ek dabba kaafi nahi hai.” The third user said, “Dharma please end this year with this.”
Karan Johar, the producer of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, expressed his excitement about the film’s re-release, saying, “It’s just the perfect film to start the new year. The film leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling about life. We can’t wait to see how Gen Z feels about watching it as adults on the big screen while millennials join in, singing along and repeating all the dialogues before the actors do.”
Director Ayan Mukerji also shared his thoughts and called the film his ‘second child’ and a part of his heart and soul. “More than a decade later, I can confidently say that creating it was one of the greatest joys of my life. What we accomplished, despite its perfections and imperfections, remains a source of immense and lasting pride for me,” he said.
This romantic comedy-drama tells the story of Bunny and Naina, played by Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film also stars Kalki Koechlin, Kunaal Roy Kapur and Farooq Sheikh, among others.
