UAE was picked as the second country to hold the matches alongside Pakistan after the Pakistan Cricket Board agreed to hold the tournament on “Hybrid Model”. The “Hybrid Model” had to be agreed upon as India has refused to travel to Pakistan citing security conditions prevailing in the country. The model was accepted on the condition that it would apply to the ICC tournaments that India will be hosting in the coming years. According to a PTIr report the hybrid arrangement will apply to the Champions Trophy 2025 (Pakistan), the ICC s women’s ODI World Cup in India and the T20 World Cup in 2026 in India and Sri Lanka.
India will play its matches in Dubai.
