Ahead of Squid Game season 2 premiere, ‘Masked Men’ spotted during Tottenham v Liverpool Premier League game

The Tottenham Hotspur stadium on Sunday had visitors other than football fans. The stadium which hosted the Premier League game between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool on the weekend, saw the iconic “Masked Men” from South Korean show Squid Games.

According to AP,  people had dressed as the “Masked Men”  in order to promote the second season of Squid Games. The second season of the  critically acclaimed thriller-horror show will premier on Netflix on December 26.

The Masked Men also known as the Pink Soldiers are integral part of the show. The stand out because of their unique Pink costumes and masks. These “Masked Men” oversee the games played in the show and they are led by the “Front Man”.

The show was a global hit when it was released in 2021, becoming Netflix’s most-watched series. It also won numerous accolades including Primetime Emmy Awards for acting for Lee Jung-jae and directing for Hwang Dong-hyuk. Lee’s career catapulted, taking him to the Cannes Film Festival and giving him his first English-language role in the “Star Wars” series “The Acolyte” for Disney+.

Liverpool beat Tottenham 6-3 in the match to solidify their spot at the top of the Premier League points table.
