Jayden Daniels is still in control of the Offensive Rookie of the Year race — but he’s no longer without competition.
The Commanders have lost two in row to two potential title contenders, in the Steelers and Eagles. And while Daniels has by no means been bad, he hasn’t been his spectacular self.
Daniels threw for 202 yards in a 28-27 loss to the Steelers in Week 10, before throwing for 191, a pick and a TD in a Week 11 loss.
And with that, the gap between him and the second guy on the board is no longer as wide.
Let’s look at the OROY betting board at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Nov. 19.
2024-25 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds:
Jayden Daniels, Commanders: -400 (bet $10 to win $12.50 total)
Bo Nix, Broncos: +300 (bet $10 to win $40 total)
Drake Maye, Patriots: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total)
Brock Bowers, Raiders: +3000 (bet $10 to win $310 total)
Caleb Williams, Bears: +4000 (bet $10 to win $410 total)
Last week, it appeared to be Daniels’ award to lose, as he sat at -3000.
However, this week isn’t as much about Daniels’ fall as it is Nix’s rise.
Just last week, Nix was second on the board but at +1200. Then he turned in a dominant performance in Week 11, going 28-for-33 passing for 307 yards and four scores, as his Broncos blasted the Falcons 38-6.
Denver is now 6-5 on the season and firmly in the playoff hunt.
As for the preseason favorite Caleb Williams, his odds went from +5000 to +4000 after the Bears suffered a 20-19 defeat to the rival Packers.
