Order inflow target ₹20,000-22,000 crore for FY25, says NCC
Neerad Sharma, Head-Strategy at Hyderabad-based construction company NCC Ltd confirmed the company’s robust progress toward its 2024-25 (FY25) order inflow target of ₹20,000-22,000 crore.

“At the start of this financial year, we set a target in this range, and we have already achieved about 55-60% of the lower band,” Sharma said, expressing confidence in meeting the goal shared with stakeholders. The company also received the letter of acceptance (LoA) on November 28 from the Ken-Betwa Link Project Authority.

NCC has secured a ₹3,389.49 crore Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the Daudhan Dam under the Ken-Betwa link project. The domestic project, to be completed within 72 months, excludes goods and services tax (GST).

The current market capitalisation of the company is ₹18,025.48 crore.

Below is the transcript of the interview.

Q: The order inflow that you saw in July-September 2024 (Q2FY25) was ₹4670 crore. The order book was a little over ₹52,370 crore. Post Q2 which are the projects that you have been awarded? So what has been the order inflow so far in October-December 2024 (Q3FY25), where does your order book stand currently? And what are the orders in which you are at the L1 position?

A: We have already bagged projects close to ₹12,000 crore. I also take this opportunity to share with you the fact that at the start of this financial year, we had shared one order inflow target with the Street, which is a band ₹20,000-22,000 crore. And we have already achieved about 55 to 60% of this lower band. So we are on our way to achieving this order inflow target that we have shared with the Street.

Now talking about the second part of your question was about L1, we have L1 projects close to about ₹9000 crore.

Q: As we are standing at the cusp of the end of Q3, what is the kind of order prospect pipeline that you are seeing, which are the orders that are coming up for tendering, and typically, what is your win rate? So that will give us an indication of whether you will be able to go ahead and beat the order inflow guidance.

A: There are a lot of projects. We have four large divisions, which are, buildings, transportation, electrical, T&D and water division. The order book that you just talked about is ₹52,370 crore, about 90% comes from these four large divisions, and we expect this trend to continue.

I have already shared with you the project that we have bagged, possibly we might get a few projects in the railway. But these four large divisions are the ones, which are going to contribute to the order inflow guidance that we have shared with the Street, and we are reasonably confident and optimistic to achieve the order inflow guidance that we have shared with you.
