This year’s Parade of Stars kicked off with a bang on Saturday ahead of the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
Cast members of their respective films greeted their fans atop grand floats, which were decorated on theme with their projects.
For “Green Bones,” Dennis Trillo, Ruru Madrid, Sofia Pablo, Sienna Stevens, Royce Cabrera, Enzo Ensorio, and director Zig Dulay stood on a green float decorated with a lighthouse, two big chains, and a window cut-out similar to those in jails.
After the parade, a free concert and performance from the movie stars will commence.
Aside from “Green Bones,” the other movie entries for MMFF 2024 are:
- “And the breadwinner is…” directed by Jun Robles Lana; starring Vice Ganda and Eugene Domingo
- “Strange Frequencies: Haunted Hospital” by Kerwin Go; starring Enrique Gil, Jane De Leon, and Rob Gomez
- “Isang Himala,” by Pepe Diokno; starring Aicelle Santos and Bituin Escalante
- “The Kingdom” by Michael Tuvera; starring Vic Sotto and Piolo Pascual
- “My Future You” starring Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin; directed by Crisanto Aquino
- “Uninvited” starring Vilma Santos, Nadine Lustre, and Aga Muhlach; directed by Dan Villegas
- “Topakk” starring Arjo Atayde and Julia Montes; directed by Richard Somes
- “Hold Me Close” starring Carlo Aquino and Julia Barretto; directed by JP Laxamana
- “Espantaho” starring Judy Ann Santos and Lorna Tolentino; directed by Chito Roño
MMFF 2024 opens on December 25.
