Jennylyn Mercado was among those who showed support for “Green Bones” during its premiere night on Friday evening.
After watching the film, Jennylyn dedicated an Instagram post for her husband, Dennis Trillo, who leads the movie alongside Ruru Madrid.
“I don’t wanna sound biased dahil asawa mo ako, pero talagang napakaganda ng movie ninyo, at napakahusay ninyong lahat! Dennis, lalo akong naging fan mo,” Jennylyn wrote, sharing photos of the actor from set.
“Grabe yung iniluha ko dito BTW,” she added with a laughing emoji.
Jennylyn also congratulated the team behind the film, including Ricky Lee, Anj Atienza, JC Rubio, director Zig Dulay, and the other cast members.
“Napakaswerte at sobrang proud kami na ito ang unang proyekto ng Brightburn Entertainment @brightburnentertainment. Maraming salamat sa pagkakataon, @gmapictures and Ms. @annettegozonvaldes,” she said.
In the comments, Dennis replied, “I love you,” with a green heart emoji.
“Green Bones” follows a prisoner named Domingo Zamora (Dennis), who is infamous for the murder of his sister and her daughter. Already up for parole, newly assigned prison guard Xavier Gonzaga (Ruru) takes a personal interest in making sure that he remains behind bars no matter what it takes.
Aside from Dennis and Ruru, veteran actor Michael De Mesa also stars in the film, alongside Alessandra De Rossi, Ronnie Lazaro, Mikoy Morales, Gerhard Acao, Iza Calzado, Sofia Pablo, and more.
The film will premiere at this year’s MMFF on December 25.
