Former US President Barack Obama has revealed his annual list of favourite movies, books and music of the year. Obama shared a list of 10 films of the year that he loved the most and interestingly, an Indian film has taken the top spot.

Payal Kapadia’s Golden Globe-nominated All We Imagine as Light has caught the former US president’s attention. He has recommended it as one of the top 10 movies of 2024.

Obama took to his social media handle to share the list of his favourite movies of 2024. “Here are a few movies I’d recommend checking out this year,” read the caption on X (formerly Twitter). The list features a diverse range of films, including Edward Berger’s Conclave, Malcolm Washington’s The Piano Lesson and Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two.

Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine as Light has been garnering appreciation across the globe after its release in September. The film made history after its Grand Prix win at the Cannes Film Festival. Payal Kapadia became the first Indian filmmaker in 30 years to feature in Cannes’ main competition section.
