Following the alleged bullying of her daughter Ayesha, Yasmien Kurdi said she will meet with Department of Education chief Sonny Angara on Thursday “to discuss potential solutions and strategies” to address bullying in schools.
On Instagram Stories, the Kapuso celebrity expressed her “heartfelt gratitude” to those who have reached out to her to share stories about their children facing bullying.
“Your bravery in opening up means so much to me, and it’s a reminder of the challenges so many families are facing,” she wrote.
“I want you to know your voices are being heard,” she added. “It’s heartbreaking to think of our little ones struggling, and together, we can make a difference.”
In her post, Yasmien promised to to use her platforms “to advocate for meaningful change.”
“Together, we can shine a light on this issue and empower our kids to stand strong,” she said.
“Let’s fight bullying and protect our children,” she added, and used the hashtags #StopBullying and #AntiBullyingCampaign.
Earlier in December, Yasmien claimed her daughter was experiencing bullying in her school.
Soon after, she shared a photo of Ayesha cut up into pieces, which she found on her daughter’s desk.
In her many social media posts, Yasmien apologized to Ayesha for going “through all of this because I am your mom.”
“But I will always be here for you. I will protect you with all my life,” she said.
Yasmien, along with her husband, Rey Soldevilla Jr., have been expressing their love and support for their daughter.
“Brave girl, Ayesha! Papa loves you so much!” Soldevilla commented in Yasmien’s post.
