This places Pushpa 2 just shy of the ₹1,200 crore mark, surpassing Jawan and closing in on Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2, which grossed ₹1,208 crore. Analysts predict the film will overtake KGF 2 by Sunday and set its sights on SS Rajamouli’s RRR (₹1,309 crore).
Domestically, Pushpa 2 has amassed ₹826 crore net (₹986 crore gross), while its overseas gross stands at ₹210 crore. After a mid-week lull, the overseas market rebounded, with Saturday’s earnings nearing $2 million. The film is now within distance of Dangal and Baahubali 2,
two of India’s highest-grossing films globally.
The film’s growth on its second Saturday also set a new record for the highest-ever single-day collection for the period, outpacing Baahubali 2. Its trajectory highlights a rare trend for masala films, which typically see slower growth on Saturdays. In Andhra Pradesh, where Saturday growth is traditionally muted, Pushpa 2 recorded a 65% surge.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule stars Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, with Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil reprising their roles.
