The GDC now boasts over 10,000 skilled professionals specialising in tech-enabled services such as media activation, performance marketing, and data analytics.
Speaking to Storyboard18′s Shibani Gharat, CVL Srinivas, WPP’s Country Manager for India, highlighted India’s pivotal role in the company’s global operations.
He noted, “India houses WPP’s largest media activation hub, with over 1,000 professionals in Gurgaon. Our content production hub in Chennai is the largest within WPP globally, and our marketing automation hub in Coimbatore has scaled significantly. These specialised hubs enable us to deliver services directly to global clients and drive both growth and transformation in our agency operations.”

Despite industry challenges, WPP achieved significant milestones in 2024, retaining Unilever’s media business—a partnership spanning nearly three decades—and securing Amazon’s media account. Srinivas expressed pride in these accomplishments, adding that the company had also onboarded over 130 new clients this year.
In another interview with Shibani Gharat, Arun Srinivas, Director and Head of Ads Business India at Meta discussed key marketing trends for 2024 and insights for 2025.
Srinivas highlighted India’s leadership in reels production, the impact of AI on creative content, and the growth of business messaging. He emphasised the importance of short-form videos, targeting Gen Z, embracing AI tools, and enhancing messaging strategies.
