Overdrive | Mini Cooper, Toyota Camry and KTM unveil exciting new models

The Mini Cooper has long been a symbol of compact, quirky charm in the automotive world. The 2024 Mini Cooper S stands as one of the final models to feature a petrol-powered engine, maintaining its iconic design despite evolving with the times.

One standout feature of this model is its 17-inch wheels, which add a touch of style to the overall look. However, there’s a notable difference between the petrol-powered Mini Cooper S and its electric counterpart. While the electric version boasts sleek flush door handles, the petrol version still sports pop-out handles, a feature that may feel less refined in comparison.

The Sunny Side yellow colour of this car gives it a playful vibe, making it an ideal companion for a morning drive. Overdrive’s Kenneth John spent a day behind the wheel to assess whether the 2024 Mini Cooper S still delivers the thrilling driving experience Mini is known for.

In a departure from industry trends, Toyota has chosen to focus on the ninth-generation hybrid Camry sedan, now available in India at ₹48 lakh. While the dimensions and underlying architecture of the car remain largely the same, the design has received a noticeable update.

The sharp new headlights, complete with a distinctive C-shaped signature, give the Camry a more aggressive and modern appearance. A large air dam adds to the car’s bold stance, and the integrated ADAS sensors and camera further enhance its tech-forward look.
