The meteoric rise in the company’s shares also swelled Jensen Huang’s net worth to $120 billion, which is a ten-fold rise over the last four years. The fortune of Jensen Huang has soared in line with the company’s explosive growth. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Huang has added as much as $76 billion to his net worth since the beginning of 2024, which is more than that of Jeff Bezos — the second richest person in the world.
Nvidia shares, which make up the bulk of Huang’s fortune, have gained 177% this year. Huang along with his family trusts owns about a 3.5% stake in the company. The stock had yielded a return of close to 240% in 2023.

While Elon Musk of Tesla added the most in 2024, the co-founder and chief executive of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg saw his fortune increase by $95 billion to $223 billion. On Thursday, Elon Musk became the first person to surpass $400 billion net worth after Trump’s victory fueled a 77% increase in his fortune. Similarly, Mark Zuckerberg had briefly overtaken Jeff Bezos in October, propelled by an extended rally in Meta Platforms Inc. Shares of the company have rallied 78% so far in 2024.
Among global billionaires, Huang currently occupies the 11th rank. Other billionaires who added at least $45 billion to their net worth in 2024 include Oracle’s Larry Ellison and Alphabet’s Larry Page as they added $73 billion and $45 billion, respectively since the start of 2024.
