CarDekho eyes 50% growth in FY25, IPO plans in motion: Founder Amit Jain

CarDekho is poised for another stellar year, with the company expecting to grow by 50% as a group in FY25, according to its founder, Amit Jain. This projection follows a 54% jump in profits in FY24.

“We’re going to grow this year also by 50% as a group. I think there is power in compounding, and we are observing that every year. Once you have a strong foundation, building on that becomes easy. I think that’s what’s happening. We’re seeing phenomenal growth and looking forward to a terrific year,” Jain said in an interview to CNBC-TV18.

Reflecting on the company’s early days, Jain highlighted the challenges of building CarDekho in Jaipur, particularly in sourcing talent. “The biggest challenge we faced was talent because there were no IT companies. So we had to work hard,” he explained.

The problem of talent has largely been solved now, with many engineers from IITs and local colleges are returning to contribute to the ecosystem,” he added.

When asked about the highly anticipated ₹4,000 crore IPO, Jain was tight-lipped but confirmed plans were in motion. “I think I’m not allowed to comment right now on that, but we are planning for that,” he said.
