Google’s Year in Search report for 2024 is finally out, giving a closer look at the internet users’ diverse interests. The list also highlights the field of entertainment that captured India’s attention, showing how people turned to Google for information on Bollywood films. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 led the line with the title of the Most Searched Indian Film in 2024. It was followed by 12th Fail, Kalki 2898 AD, Laapataa Ladies, and many more.

As per the Google report, Shraddha Kapoor’s horror-comedy topped the list of the most trending Indian films, while Prabhas’s Kalki 2898 AD bagged the second spot. India’s Oscar-nominated film Laapataa Ladies also made it to the top five. Here are the top 10 most searched Indian films of 2024.

Google’s Most Searched Indian Film Of 2024: Stree 2

Made under the banner of Maddock Films, Stree 2 follows the event of its predecessor, the 2018 blockbuster film. With actors like Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee reprising their roles, it also had epic cameo appearances by Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, and Tamannaah Bhatia.

Besides Indian films, a series of OTT shows have also made it to the top 10 list from India. While Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar topped the search game, it was followed by Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi’s Mirzapur, Panchayat, Bigg Boss 17, Kota Factory and Bigg Boss 18.

Other shows to join the list of the most trending searches in India are Last of Us, Queen of Tears, Marry My Husband, and 3 Body Problem.
