Jay-Z, accused in suit of raping minor: Sean ‘Diddy’ Carter included in the suit, both rappers deny claim

Shawn Carter, popularly known as Jay Z, has been accused in a lawsuit of raping a 13-year-old along with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in 2000. The rapper has denied the claims and called the allegations “idiotic”.

The lawsuit was first filed by Tony Buzbee, a Texas based attorney,  in October listing only Combs as the defendant. The lawsuit refiled on Sunday includes Carter’s name as well.

The accuser who has chosen to remain anonymous, alleged that she was assaulted in the MTV Video Music Awards after party.  She also claims that she was drugged in the party before the assault happened.

In a detailed account of what happened that night, the accuser has mentioned in the suit seeing an unnamed female celebrity in the room while she was raped.

“Jay Z” Carter has denied all the accusations. The rapper argued that given the heinous nature of the crime a criminal complaint should be filed and not a civil one.

Meanwhile the legal representatives of Combs have said these allegations are  “shameless publicity stunts”  for the purpose of “extracting money from celebrities”.
