OnePlus offers lifetime warranty against green line issues for all smartphones

OnePlus has introduced a new solution, the “Green Line Worry-Free Solution,” to address concerns over green lines appearing on AMOLED displays in smartphones. The initiative includes advanced display technology, strict quality control, and a lifetime warranty for all OnePlus users in India.

The smartphone maker is offering a lifetime warranty against green line issues for all its smartphones, whether old or new.

Robin Liu, CEO of OnePlus India, said, “We are the first brand to offer a lifetime warranty for our phones in India, demonstrating our confidence in our technology and our commitment to customers.”

“Last year, we were the first to offer a lifetime warranty for older models, and now we’re extending it to all OnePlus phones,” he added.

OnePlus said that it has improved its AMOLED displays with a new protective layer called the Enhanced Edge Bonding Layer. Made with PVX material, which helps protect displays from damage caused by moisture and oxygen, making them more durable, especially in India’s hot and humid climate.

“We understand the unique climate challenges posed by prolonged high temperatures and humidity faced by Indian users, and we’ve worked diligently to ensure that OnePlus devices can meet those demands,” said Ramagopala Reddy P, Vice President at OnePlus India.

According to OnePlus, the company performs over 180 tests on its devices to make sure they last in real-world conditions. The “Double 85” test, for example, exposes displays to 85 degrees and 85% humidity, pushing the limits of durability.

The Green Line Worry-Free Solution ensures that OnePlus users in India can enjoy their smartphones without worrying about display issues, backed by top-quality technology and a lifetime guarantee.

Earlier this year, OnePlus offered a lifetime free screen upgrade to the OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9R users as part of its loyalty programme called the Red Cable Club.
