Pushpa’s universe to expand with a third film
It has been confirmed that the Pushpa universe will include a third film. Srikanth Vissa, the dialogue writer for the series, revealed in an interview with Pinkvilla that the creative team discovered a treasure trove of ideas while working on the sequel. According to Vissa, as the script developed, new characters and intricate plotlines emerged, expanding the story’s scope.
“Pushpa 3: The Rampage will be much bigger, grander, and better than Pushpa 2: The Rule. We plan to include more characters and make the narrative even more compelling,” Vissa shared.
Social media buzz and a poster leak
The announcement of Pushpa 3 has already sent fans into a frenzy, with #Pushpa3TheRampage topping social media trends. Adding to the buzz, a now-deleted post by Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty inadvertently revealed an unseen poster for the third film. The image, reportedly featuring key members of the sound team standing in front of a mixing board, had a background poster reading Pushpa 3: The Rampage. Although the post was quickly removed, it sparked widespread speculation.
Allu Arjun’s and Sukumar’s commitments may delay release
Despite the buzz, fans will have to wait several years for the third part. Reports suggest that Allu Arjun will complete two other projects, including a collaboration with director Trivikram, before returning to the series. Simultaneously, Sukumar is set to direct Ram Charan in a separate project. With these commitments, production is expected to begin around 2028 or co2029.
Vijay Deverakonda to join the cast
The third instalment will also see the addition of Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda. In 2022, Deverakonda hinted at a trilogy, naming the films Pushpa: The Rise, Pushpa: The Rule, and Pushpa: The Rampage in a tweet. Deverakonda is expected to play the antagonist in the third part.
