Olivia Rodrigo was in the Philippines in October for her first concert in the country, and while she didn’t stay long, she got to visit Intramuros, and enjoy Filipino food like halo-halo and a boodle fight feast.
On Instagram, celebrity chef JP Anglo shared a reel of Olivia’s POV during a boodle fight meal he and Sarsa executive chef Kim Yumol prepared for the Fil-Am celebrity and her boyfriend, Louis Partridge.
In the video, the Filipino-American pop star couldn’t contain her excitement as she admired the sumptuous spread of seafood, chicken, of a bed of a rice.
“Look at all this good stuff,” Olivia said. “Welcome to Manila.”
In the caption, Chef JP said preparing Filipino food is always a delight.
“What better way to celebrate the talent and accomplishment of our fellow Filipino, Olivia, than with a good old boodle fight?” he said.
“Here’s to you, Olivia, and all things Pinoy,” he added.
In a separate post, Chef Kim snapped a photo with Olivia and Louis.
“Maraming salamat, Miss So Filipina!” he wrote.
In October, Olivia said the Philippine leg of her “GUTS” world tour was her most special show and trip, as it marked her first time in the country.
Come back soon, Olivia!
