Europe’s most elite club football competition, as they beat Germany’s Borussia Dortmund in the final of the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League to lift the coveted trophy. Los Blacos proved yet again why they are lablelled as the “Kings of the Europe” as the the victory helped them clinch a record-extending 15th European Cup title, and their sixth in eleven years. Pep Guardiola, the manager and head coach of Manchester City, achieved a feat that no other coach had previously managed. Under Guardiola’s stewardship, Manchester City became the first team in top-flight English football to win four Premier League titles in a row. By lifting his fourth successive Premier League title, Guardiola created a legacy of his own, which even the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger, have not been able to achieve. 5 / 8At international level, Spain’s men’s football team won the European Championship popularly known as Euro. Spain won the championship by remaining unbeaten all trough the tournament. It was Spain’s fourth European Championship and it made them the most successful nation in the tournament’s history. Spain’s Dani Olmo was the joint-highest goal-scorer of the tournament with three goals.
