Spanish club Real Madrid reasserted their dominance in UEFA Champions League. Europe's most elite club football competition, as they beat Germany's Borussia Dortmund in the final of the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League to lift the coveted trophy.

Pep Guardiola, the manager and head coach of Manchester City, achieved a feat that no other coach had previously managed.  Under Guardiola’s stewardship, Manchester City became the first team in top-flight English football to win four Premier League titles in a row. At international level, Spain’s men’s football team won the European Championship popularly known as Euro. Spain won the championship by remaining unbeaten all trough the tournament. It was Spain’s fourth European Championship and it made them the most successful nation in the tournament’s history. Spain’s Dani Olmo was the joint-highest goal-scorer of the tournament with three goals.
