One of the original supermodels, Christie Brinkley, has just turned 70 — and she’s as stunning as ever.
The septuagenarian is on holiday in Turks & Caicos, southeast of the Bahamas, celebrating her milestone moment by posting an incredible swimsuit photo on Instagram.

“This is 70, and you’ve nothing to fear because you can make it your very own favourite year!” she wrote, lightheartedly reflecting on turning 70.
“It’s up to you, it’s in your power to choose to celebrate, instead of cower.
“You know what to do, exercise and eat right, use your sunblock and don’t sit under overhead lights!
“Be curious, explore and go on adventures, just don’t forget, to pack your dentures.
“Seriously, laugh and love with all your might … and I promise you 70 will be all right!🩵🩵”.
In the photo, Brinkley wears a low-cut black one-piece swimsuit with a white wrap top, dark sunglasses and a beaded belt.
Fans loved the post — both the outfit and the sentiment expressed in her caption.
“Happy birthday! Beautiful inside and out!” wrote fellow supermodel Cindy Crawford.
“Thank you for always being a ray of sunshine, and leading the way with a dazzling smile!” added another supermodel, Paulina Porizkova.
“You make 70 look like something everyone will want!.”
“Wow, if this is 70 … you are truly an inspiration!!!!” gushed another follower.
“Stunning.”
Added another: “Proof that age is just a number. Happy birthday!”
Brinkley rose to worldwide fame in the 1980s after a series of Sports Illustrated magazine covers and a high-profile appearance in Billy Joel’s Uptown Girl video (she went on to marry the singer, but they divorced in 1994).
She spent 25 years as the face of CoverGirl cosmetics, has appeared on more than 500 magazine covers, and secured numerous lucrative contracts over the years, making her incredibly wealthy, as well as famous.
The blonde beauty went on to acting, writing, TV presenting and campaigning for human and animal rights and the environment.
But it hasn’t always been smooth sailing for the glamorous cover girl.
In 1994, she survived a helicopter crash during a ski trip in Colorado that left her with ongoing hip pain, and she finally had a full hip replacement in 2021.
However, if her latest Instagram post is anything to go by, Brinkley is embracing the passing of time with positivity and a sense of humour.
And it seems her many fans agree.
“Super at 70,” one follower wrote on Instagram.
“Good for you, Christie! Your zest for life, huge smile, kindness and embracement of all ages is inspirational,” said another.
