Here’s The Official Guide To GRAMMY Week 2024: MusiCares Person Of The Year, Pre-GRAMMY Gala, Recording Academy Honors & More

With the 2024 GRAMMYs happening this weekend, on Sunday, Feb. 4, the stage is set for GRAMMY Week 2024, the Recording Academy‘s weeklong celebration comprising official GRAMMY Week events celebrating the music community and current nominees in the lead-up to the 66th GRAMMY Awards. Packed with exclusive industry events happening all over Los Angeles this week, GRAMMY Week 2024 takes place Wednesday, Jan. 31, through Sunday, Feb. 4, all leading up to Music’s Biggest Night.

GRAMMY Week 2024 kicks off with “A Celebration of Craft,” a special event presented by the Recording Academy‘s Producers & Engineers Wing and Songwriters & Composers Wing and the first-ever joint GRAMMY Week event hosted by the Academy’s craft Wings. Taking place Wednesday, Jan. 31, at the GRAMMY Museum in Downtown Los Angeles, the inaugural event will honor seven-time GRAMMY winner Leslie Ann Jones for her prolific work as a recording and mixing engineer and record producer; salute the year-round work of the Producers & Engineers and Songwriters & Composers Wings; and celebrate the people working behind the scenes to create the year’s best musical works, including this year’s Songwriter Of The Year nominees.

The following day, on Thursday, Feb. 1, the third annual Recording Academy Honors Presented By The Black Music Collective returns for a special ceremony and exclusive performances at the Fairmont Century Plaza. The second annual GRAMMY House also launches on Thursday. A three-day program, GRAMMY House, presented by Mastercard, will feature carefully curated programs to honor and inspire a diverse community of music creators and professionals. Additional GRAMMY House participating sponsors include Smirnoff, CELSIUS and FIJI Water. See the full schedule for GRAMMY House 2024 below.

The festivities continue on Friday, Feb. 2, with the 26th Annual Entertainment Law Initiative, which honors Michael Kushner, Atlantic Records’ Executive Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs and General Counsel, for his contributions to the music industry. Also on Friday, GRAMMY U, the Recording Academy’s premier membership program for emerging professionals and creatives pursuing a career in the music industry, will once again host its marquee GRAMMY Week event: GRAMMY U Masterclass Presented By Mastercard, taking place at GRAMMY House. This year, the exclusive learning and networking event will host GRAMMY-nominated artist Halle Bailey, who will discuss her career in music and provide much-needed industry insight for aspiring music professionals and creatives; Muni Long will moderate the event. That same evening, the annual MusiCares Person of the Year benefit gala will honor rock icon Jon Bon Jovi at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Performers for the benefit event include Melissa Etheridge, Jason Isbell, Bruce Springsteen, Shania Twain, Brandy Clark, Damiano David of Måneskin, Goo Goo Dolls, Jelly Roll, Marcus King, The War And Treaty, Lainey Wilson, and a special performance from Jon Bon Jovi himself, who will hit the stage with his band. GRAMMY-nominated comedian Jim Gaffigan will host the benefit gala and Gayle King and GRAMMY winner Kylie Minogue will serve as presenters.

The crescendo builds on Saturday, Feb. 3, with a full day of events. The day begins with the GRAMMY Advocacy Brunch, hosted by GRAMMY-winning duo Brothers Osborne and benefitting the GRAMMY Fund for Music Creators. Hosted by the Recording Academy’s Advocacy & Public Policy team, the Brunch highlights the Academy’s year-round work to protect music makers. The Special Merit Awards Ceremony and the 66th Annual GRAMMY Nominees Reception, both held at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre, follow. Then, the party continues at the annual Pre-GRAMMY Gala, a star-studded, exclusive night presented by the Recording Academy and music industry legend Clive Davis. Featuring an A-list roster of guests, special performances from GRAMMY-nominated artists, and heartfelt tributes, the Pre-GRAMMY Gala has become the music industry’s hottest event during GRAMMY Week. Held at the Beverly Hilton, the 2024 Pre-GRAMMY Gala will honor Sony Music Publishing Chairman and CEO Jon Platt as the 2024 GRAMMY Salute To Industry Icons honoree.

Finally, on Sunday, Feb. 4, GRAMMY Sunday begins with the 2024 GRAMMYs Premiere Ceremony, a star-studded celebration of performers and presenters where the majority of the 2024 GRAMMY Awards Categories will be awarded. Performers for the 2024 GRAMMYs Premiere Ceremony include J.
