Kelly Rutherford—the matriarch of our fashion daydreams—has arrived at Paris Fashion Week.
The actor was all sophistication in a classic Christian Dior skirt suit while sitting front row at the French fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2024 haute couture runway show. Her ensemble was composed of a fitted, cropped cream blazer with round buttons emblazoned with the brand’s CD logo, plus a pleated A-line skirt in the same soft hue. Rutherford wore the skirt suit—a longtime Dior staple—with glossy beige slingback pumps adorned with a neat bow on one side, and a cream-colored Lady Dior bag from the latest collection. Her only jewelry was a large golden ring in the form of a fancy, metallic knot.
Rutherford tucked her straight blonde hair behind her ears and wore natural makeup, including a subtle pink lip and a glossy nude manicure.
Best known for her role as wealthy, Waspy, Upper East Side trophy wife Lily van der Woodsen in the cult-classic series Gossip Girl, Rutherford has been making headlines as of late, thanks to her fit-check mirror selfies, which she’s been sharing on Instagram.
Her looks often include timeless staples in neutral tones—cozy sweaters, pleated pants, A-line skirts—mixed in with great coats, statement boots, and big sunglasses. It’s elevated and luxurious, like Lily’s socialite wardrobe, but much cooler and more inventive—evidence that Rutherford utterly enjoys dressing up every morning.
