Yelp revealed its list of 100 best taco spots in the U.S. and five Arizona restaurants made the list. Two restaurants were in Phoenix, two in Tucson and one was in Sierra Vista. The list also called out the 15 best taco towns in the country, and Phoenix ranked third, behind Austin, Texas and Los Angeles. The top taco towns were identified based on cities with the highest number of searches for tacos from Aug. 2022 to Aug. 2023.
The highest ranked Arizona restaurants were in Tucson: La Chaiteria, which was ranked No. 46, and El Rustico at 74.
Even further south, 143 Street Tacos in Sierra Vista ranked 79.
El Fogon and Taco Culture Taco Shop in Phoenix made No. 86 and 93 on the list, respectively.
