The Buckeyes fell behind early in Madison but won the next four matches to lead 16-6 at the break. The Badgers threatened but Ohio State won three of the final five matches to secure the win.

Bouzakis struck first with a pair of takedowns and a four-point nearfall for a quick 10-1 lead. He took a 13-2 lead into the second. A Rivera escape and takedown around a takedown by Bouzakis made it 16-6 Buckeyes. Bouzakis then added a reversal before a Rivera escape made it 18-7 going into the third. Rivera added an escape and a takedown and with a point for riding time, Bouzakis earned the win by major decision, 19-11.
141-No. 3 Jesse Mendez (OSU) def. Felix Lettini (WIS) | TF, 21-5
Mendez led 12-3 after the first on four takedowns. After another two takedowns, Mendez led 18-5 after five minutes. An early takedown in the third gave Mendez the win by technical fall, 21-5.

149-No. 9 Dylan D’Emilio (OSU) def. No. 22 Joseph Zargo (WIS) | MD, 12-4
D’Emilio got an edge-of-the mat takedown to lead 3-1 after a Zargo escape in the first. That score carried over to the second. D’Emilio added a point in the second to lead 4-1 after five minutes. Zargo added an escape early in the third before a D’Emilio went up 7-2 with a takedown. Zargo then cut into the Ohio State lead with a reversal but D’Emilio countered with an escape and takedown for an 11-4 lead. With a point for riding time, D’Emilio got the win by major decision, 12-4.

157-No. 33 Isaac Wilcox (OSU) def. Luke Mechler (WIS) | D, 4-2
There was no score in the first. Wilcox got on the board first with an escape early in the second. He then added a takedown to lead 4-1 after a Mechler escape. Mechler added an escape point to open the third but Wilcox held on to win by decision, 4-2.

165- No. 5 Dean Hamiti (WIS) def. No. 22 Bryce Hepner (OSU) | TF, 18-3
Hamiti scored the opening takedown for a 3-1 lead after a Hepner escape. Another Hamiti takedown, Hepner escape upped the Wisconsin lead to 6-2. The lead increased to 9-2 headed to the second. Another takedown by Hamiti made it 12-2 after five minutes. Hamiti then finished off the match to win by technical fall, 18-3.
174-No. 30 Rocco Welsh (OSU) def. No. 11 Max Maylor (WIS) | D, 7-3
Neither wrestler put points on the board in the first period. Maylor scored first with a reversal before a Welsh escape made it 2-1 Badgers. Maylor was called for stalling to tie the bout at 2-all headed to the third. Welsh took the lead with an escape early in the third, 3-2. The lead increased to 6-2 with a takedown with about a minute left. Welsh was then able to get the win by decision, 7-3.

184- No. 16 Shane Liegel (WIS) def. Seth Shumate (OSU) | MD, 14-3
Shumate struck first with a takedown but Liegel quickly got a reversal and four-point nearfall to lead 6-3 after three minutes. Liegel escaped early in the second for a 7-3 lead. Liegel upped the lead to 10-3 with a takedown and won the match by major decision, 14-3.
197-No. 22 Luke Geog (OSU) def. Josh Otto (WIS) | D, 8-2
Geog scored first with a takedown with under 30 seconds gone in the first. Geog led 3-1 going to the second and added an escape for a 4-1 lead after two periods. Geog added a double-leg takedown to go up 7-1 while building the riding time to more than a minute. Otto added an escape but Geog got the win by decision, 8-2.
HWT-No. 17 Nick Feldman (OSU) def. Gannon Rosenfeld (WIS) | TF, 19-3
Feldman jumped to a 3-1 lead and then made it 6-1 with his second takedown. Feldman added two more and four points for a nearfall to lead 16-3 after three minutes. He then finished off the match early in the second with a win by technical fall, 20-3.
