Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have icy reunion in Kansas City after it was claimed pair have had first blazing argument which ruined their Christmas holiday

They are America’s hottest celebrity couple, but their love may already be starting to run cold.

Amid reports of a blazing Christmas argument, pop icon Taylor Swift touched down in a dangerously icy Kansas City to see her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce face off against the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night.

Swift’s gas-guzzling private jet, which has a staggering $40million price tag, landed just before midday local time (1pm EST) ahead of the Chiefs’ big game tonight.

Her Dassault Falcon 7X, a plane popular with the global elite, had departed from Morristown, New Jersey, earlier this morning.

The 34-year-old billionaire shielded her face from the Arctic-like winds with an umbrella as she exited the plane at Charles B. Wheeler Downtown airport, being whisked away by an awaiting three-strong motorcade.

Her entourage braved the treacherous conditions, departing from their regular practice of racing away to outrun the waiting media.

Her boyfriend Kelce, who was seen leaving the Kansas City Chiefs’ team hotel on Saturday morning with a grimy face, later joined Swift and headed to upmarket Kansas suburb of Leawood.  

He sat in a white Hummer and appeared uninterested in shrugging off rumors of tension in their months-long romance.

Life & Style magazine claimed in a bombshell report this weekend that the 12-time Grammy winner has an ‘awkward relationship’ with Kelce’s brother Jason. 

Swift has met Kelce’s parents – mom Donna and father Ed – but so far, there have been no pictures of her meeting with Jason, who Travis is extremely close to, or Jason’s wife Kylie. 

The couple apparently did not made the singer feel too welcome and comments made to the media about their relationship have upset Swift, according to the report. 

  Life and Style quoted a source as saying: ‘Taylor hasn’t had the best reception from Jason and his wife.’

Kylie’s quotes about the spotlight particularly irked Swift, with the source adding: ‘Taylor took that personally and since then it’s been very awkward.’ 

Unlike his brother, Travis has ambitions to reach superstardom – setting his sights on being as famous as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson – and has even hired five agents in a bid to boost his career and make himself a movie star, his managers revealed.

This has led to concerns that he has merely been using Swift to help him on that quest, although she doesn’t believe that is the case herself. ‘She hates that it’s given people ammunition to use against them,’ the source said. 

Kelce allegedly ‘snapped’ at Swift on Christmas Day as the pair clashed in their first argument since getting together in July, following the Chiefs’ loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, according to the magazine,

The NFL star is said to have let his emotions get the better of him after the defeat at Arrowhead, which left his girlfriend feeling ‘hurt and confused’. During the loss, he was also seen throwing his helmet down in fury on the sidelines.

A source is quoted as saying that the row ruined his and Taylor’s holidays given it was their first fight in five months together.

And over a week later, Swift’s stressful holiday season was followed by a controversial New York Times article which questioned her sexuality.

After stepped out from the jet, Taylor then headed away across town in a black Toyota SUV as temperatures plummeted as low as -16, for the 45-minute drive towards Kelce’s near-palatial 170,000 square foot, $6-million mansion.

The Chiefs’ tight end, a two-time Superbowl winner, waved lovingly to his better half as he joined her in the final stretch of the journey from the airport. 

Tonight’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins is expected to be one of the coldest in NFL history, but the weather will not stop the ‘Anti-Hero’ star from standing by her partner later.

Swift has been a near-ever present in the VIP boxes at the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium since the couple went public with their relationship in October last year.

She was last in the stands when the Chiefs clashed with the Cincinnati Bengals on New Year’s Eve.

The team’s pursuit of a fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years has at times been overshadowed by the romance between Kelce and Swift.

But the celebrity love story between the top athlete and one of the world’s most recognizable pop stars is also thought to have drawn more female fans to the Chiefs’ games.
