The next premium live event on the WWE schedule is the Royal Rumble event set to take place on Sat., Jan. 27, 2024, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, the company’s annual beginning of the year showcase featuring its most popular gimmick match. It will crown the next number one contender in both the men’s and women’s divisions.
We’re still a few weeks out from showtime but we already know the top matches:
- WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles vs. LA Knight
A triple threat was booked for SmackDown this past week to determine who would move on to challenge Reigns for his title. Instead, the Bloodline took all of them out and Nick Aldis decided to make it a Fatal 4-Way.
Declared so far: Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Lashley
Declared so far: Bayley, Nia Jax, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair
- United States Championship: Logan Paul (c) vs. Kevin Owens
A tournament was held to determine who would get the next shot at Paul, and Owens defeated Austin Theory, Carmelo Hayes, and Santos Escobar to win that tournament.
There have been some hints that DIY could be next in line for The Judgment Day and the tag team titles.
Like how the card is shaping up?
