5 Cute Outfits With Metallic Silver Pants

During one of our in-office work days, we quickly discovered how much everyone on the team is loving silver everything. Ballet flats, bags, boots and yes, pants. Silver is basically a neutral that goes with anything, and in the least-boring way possible. All black everything, step aside.

Metallic silver pants can definitely read holiday (hello, New Years) but I’d totally style them up all winter long. From get-togethers with friends to date night, there’s a ton of ways you can get use out of these statement pants. 

Ooo wait – they’d be perfect for a concert too.  

I had to throw in some fancy shoes and jewelry for the ultimate NYE inspo (metallics and sparkle scream New Years, of course). But, I’m thinking I’d like to also break ‘em out for a GNO, and maybe even wear them into the office.

1. Styling Metallic Pants: Vintage Vibes With Lady Jackets & Jewel Tones

I’ve been seeing what has officially been deemed as ‘lady jackets’ everywhere. I never thought they’d be my style but okay, I was very wrong – I’m obsessed. And mixing jewel tones with silver pants (then pairing with vintage-esque accessories) gives the whole thing a fresh, timeless look.

NOTES: I’m kinda in love with these printed heels. They feel like something I’d find at an estate sale from a person with a major faux-fur collection, along with this purse completely covered in pearls. Bonus points for that vintage-style clasp. If I wasn’t in a heel mood, I’d go for those Madewell ballet flats that we’ve tried and love. If the pearls are too much — go for a simple shoulder bag. 

2. Styling Metallic Pants: Apres Ski With Winter Prints (AKA, Fair Isle)

Admittedly I am an all-black-everything kinda gal. (Stay tuned for a bit of that below). But I love the way all the gray shades come together with the silver pants for a monochromatic look. I had to throw in a black sweater and hat too because creature-of-habit-things. The main focus here, though? That fair isle print. Another love for 2023-2024.

NOTES: I never thought I’d say this but I needed to throw in that gorgeous blue bag to add some life to this neutral outfit, however, there’s a really good chance I’d end up wearing a light-colored bag and that works just as well. (Especially if you’re a monochrome lover like me). And can we take a moment for the steel-blue-gray velvet heels? Thank you, thank you. Swap the heels for some Adidas sneaks if you’re going a more casual, comfortable route.

3. Styling Metallic Pants: With Graphic Tops

If you want to make the metallic pants feel casual, try out a graphic top like a slouchy sweater or cozy crewneck and pop on that winter puffer.

NOTES: I’m back on the COACH bandwagon. I don’t know if it’s the early 2000’s awakening in me or what, but I am here for it! The colors on this bag in particular really drew me in. Let’s applaud those Larroude heels too. I’m surprised I haven’t dreamt about them yet. Unexpectedly, I’m getting into the wrap-style puffers. I feel like they’re a fancier version of a puffer without feeling overly fancy. Definitely give it a look on the model.

4. Styling Metallic Pants: With Sexy Layers & Blazers

This is what I’m calling my girl’s night out lewk. It’s reminding me of those videos going around on ‘wearing your clothes vs styling them’. Adding little touches like a lacy layering top instead of just wearing the silk tank by itself just makes the outfit a little more interesting. It’s girl’s night, style it up!

NOTES: One of these days I will get my hands on my dream feather bag. Feathers just make any outfit feel special and slightly fancy. And how gorgeous are those tanks? They’re *technically* called sleep tanks but they look like you can wear them out. At least I totally would. Heh.

5. Styling Metallic Pants: With Silk & Turtlenecks

So, here’s my all-black-everything inspo. Shocking, I know. It just never fails to look chic. I love the look of a black turtleneck with silver pants so there’s two different ways I’d go. I’d either wear a thin turtleneck under the silk tank or I’d wear a thicker one over the tank if I know I’m going somewhere that I may need to take off a layer (like a restaurant with an open, very hot kitchen).

NOTES: We’ve classified the black and white nike dunks as the “tuxedo of sneakers.” So even though they’re casual by nature, they also look fancy-enough. If you really wanna take it up a notch, those red heels are stunnning (and come in a ton of colors and fabrics). And as for that jacket – the collar comes off! Two different jackets for one price.
