More than a third of the roster was either limited or did not practice as Seattle starts preparing for the Week 17 matchup against the Steeler.
The Seattle Seahawks came away from the Week 16 victory over the Tenneessee Titans in control of their own destiny, and able to lock up a playoff spot without requiring help from any other teams. However, they also came out of the game extremely beat up, with more than a third of the 53 man roster.
Specfically, 18 members of the team either did not practice or were limited participants in practice ahead of the key matchup for the Hawks against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 17.
Those who did not practice included Bobby Wagner and Jarran Reed, who were given veteran rest days, alongside Quandre Diggs and Tyler Lockett, who were limited for the same reason. In addition to Wagner and Reed, other starters who did not practice due to injury reasons were Ken Walker, Jordyn Brooks, Mario Edwards, Dre’Mont Jones, and Noah Fant, while Anthony Bradford, Jamal Adams, Devon Witherspoon, Damien Lewis, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Obviously, Wednesday tends to be the longest injury list of the week, making the names that remain on the list Thursday and Friday very important for the Seahawks team with a potential playoff berth hanging in the balance.
