The Cleveland Browns roster has been a mess due to injuries and that continued in Week 16 despite a game controlled by the team against the Houston Texans. Kicker Dustin Hopkins missed most of the contest which led to a kicker being added on Monday for insurance.
Helping out with kickoffs, punter Corey Bojorquez was also injured against the Texans.
Special teams was a mess leading to the Browns last punt coming with over 10 minutes left in the second quarter and the final extra point coming on the possession before that.
QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson was also injured when he took over for QB Joe Flacco.
According to a report, Cleveland has added a punter to their practice squad:
Haack has kicked in 98 career games with a 44.5-yard per punt average. Last year with the Indianapolis Colts, Haack put 28 of his 70 punts inside the 20-yard line with just three touchbacks.
With DTR’s injury concern, PJ Walker is reportedly headed back to the active roster this week as well:
The team has not made either move, or any corresponding move, official yet.
