Come hang out with us during the first half of the Detroit Lions’ Week 16 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
Could this be the day?
Detroit Lions fans have been waiting three decades—quite literally a lifetime for some of the franchise’s youngest fans—for this team to win their division. And with three games left, the Lions are tantalizingly close. All they need is one more win (or one more Vikings loss). The prize: their first NFC North crown and the first ever home playoff game at Ford Field.
But the road will not be easy. The Minnesota Vikings will be a tough out, as they are not only fighting to make an unlikely run at the division, but they’re also on the razor’s edge for a playoff berth. One slip-up could mean the difference between winning the division and missing the playoffs entirely.
The Lions are entering Sunday as three-points favorites over the Vikings, but seeing as this is their first matchup of the year, it’s hard to know exactly what to expect. Can Jared Goff withstand one of the most unique and aggressive defenses in the league? Will Detroit beat up on backup quarterback Nick Mullens? Can Detroit’s red-hot running game continue its success?
We’ll all know the answers to these questions in just a matter of hours. In the meantime, come hang out with us on this Christmas Eve, as we all hope to get an early division-clinching present.
