“IN the spirit of Christmas,” Gov. Arnold I. Palacios has authorized non-essential employees of the executive branch to go on administrative leave Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023.
In a memorandum on Thursday, the governor said, “With the holiday season approaching, I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for all your hard work, dedication, and sacrifice throughout this year.”
“Your continued commitment, support, and contributions to the Commonwealth have been instrumental in overcoming the obstacles we face,” he added.
“I am hereby authorizing non-essential employees of the Commonwealth Government’s Executive Branch to take Administrative Leave on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.”
He said he and Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang, along with their families, “wish you and yours a joyous holiday season and prosperous New Year. May this coming year be filled with health, happiness, and abundant opportunities for the Commonwealth. Stay safe CNMI.”
