The Badgers pulled out a comeback victory in Fort Myers on Wednesday.
The Wisconsin Badgers defeated the SMU Mustangs in a comeback 69-61 victory, winning the Fort Myers Classic finals on Wednesday.
It was an ugly start for the Badgers, who shot 11/34 from the field and 1/14 from three in the first half, but played good enough defense by forcing turnovers to trail 32-24 at halftime.
However, several players stepped up in the second half, aiding the comeback effort as the Badgers strung together two consecutive victories over successful programs this week.
Tyler Wahl had 14 points, while four players scored in double figures for the Badgers in the win.
Following the game, Badgers insider Rohan Chakravarthi shared his instant reaction to the Badgers’ 69-71 win over SMU, pointing out the major takeaways for the team moving forward.
Next up, the Badgers face Western Illinois on Monday, which prefaces a major matchup against No. 4 Marquette at home on Saturday.
