There’s a lot of focus during Thanksgiving on the main dishes and sides.
But let’s not forget about the dessert.
Thanksgiving
OnlineCasinos.com — which describes itself as “the most trustworthy and reputable comparison site for real money online casinos on the market” — did their due diligence in remembering desserts as a crucial part of Thanksgiving by conducting and publishing a study which found the favorite such Turkey Time sweets of each state.
Researchers at the site managed to do this by sending out a survey concerning Thanksgiving desserts to 3,000 people across the country. Respondent answers were gathered, then divided by region.
Pennsylvania’s favorite turned out to be pumpkin pie, which swept the nation as the most beloved Thanksgiving treat in 41 states total.
Alas, there were outliers as far as top desserts go: New Hampshire, for example, proclaimed apple pie as its number one sugary delight during the holiday. Ditto for Delaware and Iowa.
Washington D.C. had more of a craving for pecan pie, and Wyoming, peach cobbler.
The study went so far as to categories pies by separate levels of superiority as well: pumpkin and apple were labeled as “superior,” while those such as banoffee pie ended up on the other end of the spectrum as “low”
“In conclusion, the resounding consensus among Americans highlights that pie is the quintessential Thanksgiving dessert,” reads the report. “Notably, pumpkin is the champion of the pies and [one] would perhaps avoid dishing out desserts in the ‘Low’ category such as banoffee and rhubarb pie.”
