Thanksgiving, also known as the country’s annual collective food coma, is almost here. As many sit at their desks daydreaming about Thursday’s feast, a new survey reveals which traditional Thanksgiving foods Americans dislike the most.
For the third year in a row, cranberry sauce takes the cake as the least favorite Thanksgiving food. It is disliked by more than 31 percent of respondents, according to a survey conducted by SurveyMonkey on behalf of The Vacationer, a travel and vacation content site.
Sweet potatoes or yams, disliked by more than 29 percent of respondents, took a close second.

“I didn’t expect this one as I would happily eat sweet potatoes over more than half of the items listed,” wrote Eric Jones, co-founder of The Vacationer and a math professor at Rowan College South Jersey.
Survey respondents could choose as many foods that they disliked as they wanted, according to The Vacationer.

In fact, liking all of the traditional Thanksgiving foods on the list was the least popular option in the survey, chosen by only 13.8 percent of those surveyed.
The youngest generation of American adults, those aged 18 to 29, are “far pickier” with what they like to eat for Thanksgiving than older generations, according to The Vacationer’s survey.
This generation disliked every food item on the list more than those over 60. Only 6.7 percent of those 18 to 29 years old liked every food item, while more than 25 percent of people over 60 did, according to the survey.
The survey polled 1,013 Americans in mid-October, with 47 percent identifying as male and 53 percent as female. Of those surveyed, 19 percent were 18 to 29 years old, 29 percent were 30 to 44 years old, 36 percent were 45 to 60 years old and 15 percent were over 60 years old.
