In celebration of “National Burrito Day” on Thursday, April 6, Chipotle is “giving fans exactly what they’ve been asking for” — 30,000 free burritos in the lead up to, on and after the holiday through two different methods.
The promotion comes in response to one of the top questions the restaurant chain receives on its social media — “Can I get a free burrito?” — with Chipotle doing just that, the company said in a news release on Monday.
How it works is that on April 6, @ChipotleTweets will “surprise and delight burrito-loving fans” by dropping codes throughout the day that followers can text to 888-22 for the chance to win a free burrito.

Chipotle said it’s also offering free delivery with use of the promo code “DELIVER” on the Chipotle app and through its website on April 6.
The company noted higher menu prices and additional service fees may apply for delivery and there is a $10 minimum and a $200 maximum charge, excluding taxes and fees. To see the full terms and conditions click here.

Additionally, Chipotle is kicking off “National Burrito Day” early with 20,000 free burritos on GrubHub starting Wednesday, April 5.
Burritos were the delivery service’s most-ordered dish in 2022, so Chipotle partnered with Grubhub to give consumers an early chance to celebrate, the company said.
On orders with a subtotal worth $20 or more, diners can claim a free burrito through Grubhub in celebration of National Burrito Day while supplies last at participating Chipotle locations, according to Chipotle.

No promo code is needed since the offer will be automatically applied at check-out for eligible Chipotle orders through Grubhub, including Seamless — with up to one redemption per diner, Chipotle added. The promotion will run through Saturday, April 8.
To redeem, users can select one eligible burrito from the Chipotle menu on Grubhub’s platform prior to checkout, Chipotle said.
